A volunteer-run association
The Centre Nautique de Roscoff is a non-profit association (loi 1901) founded in 1959. Its mission: teaching the sea to as many people as possible — children, adults and seniors, beginners and experienced sailors alike. Through sailing, kayaking and trips in Morlaix Bay, as well as talks and nature outings exploring the marine environment, the CNR passes on seafaring knowledge and a desire to protect this exceptional stretch of water.
Beyond the instructor team, the association is run by a volunteer board and steering committee, elected each year by members at the general meeting.
